Eric Taussig
Eric Taussig was born in London, England. He was admitted to the Bar after receiving his law degree from the New York University School of Law in 1971. Eric also has an MA in International Relations from New York University (1968) and a BA from Adelphi University (1966).
After graduation from Law School, he initially served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York (1971-1974) under J. Lee Rankin, Corporation Counsel and former United States Solicitor General in the administration of President Dwight Eisenhower, and subsequently as a Senior Attorney for CBS, Inc. (1974-1977) in the television, radio and Columbia Records divisions.
From December 1977 to June 2002, Eric held various positions in the Legal Department of Philip Morris Incorporated, Philip Morris Companies Inc., Philip Morris Management Corp. and Philip Morris International Inc. (Altria Group, Inc.). He last held the position of Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Philip Morris International Inc. handling various legal matters, including commercial transactions, litigation, labor and employment matters, benefit plan, privacy issues, tax audits, etc.
Since retirement from Altria, Eric has been a Legal Consultant to Altria as well as for other clients advising on matters relating to labor, employment law, ERISA, employee benefit plans, international transactions and privacy policy issues, with an emphasis on data transfer between the European Union and the United States. Eric has more than 40 years of legal experience. He is a member of the Bar in New Hampshire, New York, The District of Columbia and is admitted to practice before various NH and NY federal district courts, the 2nd & 4th US Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is certified as an arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and has been a member (or has chaired) both Alternative Dispute Resolution and Privacy committees & task forces at the AAA and Center for Public Resources (CPR).
Eric serves as a Board Member of the New York University School of Law’s Center for Labor and Employment Law; Vice Chair and a Board Member of the Loon Preservation Committee, Treasurer and a Board Member of the Lakes Region Audubon Society of New Hampshire and a Board member of the Wolfeboro Friends of Music. Eric has also served terms as a member of the Town of Moultonborough’s Conservation Commission and Planning Board.

Richard Taussig
Richard graduated from the University of Vermont in 2005, earning his degree in History with a concentration in Russian History and double minors in Business Administration, with an emphasis on human resources and economics. In addition to Richard’s main study curriculum, he participated in an exchange program to Chile and spent time in Spain studying Spanish.
Between the time he graduated from college and began his legal studies at Vermont Law School, he lived and worked in Portland, ME for two years and spent a year living and working in the Reno-Tahoe area.
While at Vermont Law School, Richard concentrated on getting practical legal experience through the law school’s experiential program and through internships. Richard clerked as a legal intern for the Legal Department of the Vermont Department of Human Resources, as an employee benefits intern for the New Hampshire State Risk Manager’s office, as well as for Legal Aid of NH.
Richard has experience through his practice, coursework and internships in income tax, education law, employment law, HIPAA, zoning & land use law, and contracts law. Richard is a member of the Bar of New Hampshire and is admitted to practice before the NH Federal District Court. In his free time, Richard is an avid hiker, skier and traveler.
